For cruise passengers sailing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. You want a luxury or exotic car for the days before boarding, after you come back, or both. This guide covers how to split the rental around the sailing, which listed vehicles suit cruise luggage and what to send the team so the handoff is planned before the travel day.

Quick answer: Plan the car around the days you are on land, not the days you are at sea. For most cruise trips that means one rental that ends before you board and, if you want one after the cruise, a separate rental that starts once you are off the ship. Choose the vehicle by passengers and bags first. The port controls its own access, so the exact meeting point, time window and fees are confirmed on your quote.

Should the rental cover the cruise days?

A rental is charged per 24-hour day, so a car that sits in a garage while you are at sea still counts as rental days. Port parking is also a separate charge set by the port, not by Monarc VIP. For a seven-night sailing, that combination rarely makes sense compared with ending the rental before boarding.

The usual alternative is two shorter rentals: one for the hotel nights before the cruise and one for the days after it. Ask the team to quote both together so the dates, vehicles and handoff points are reviewed at the same time.

Where can the handoff happen near Port Everglades?

Port Everglades sits close to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Interstate 595, with several cruise terminals inside a secured port. Your cruise documents name the terminal. Send that terminal, the ship and the sailing or arrival time with your request.

Do not assume a car can meet you at the terminal curb. The port sets its own access and security procedures for vehicles. Ask the team which approved meeting point works for your terminal and time, and check the port's current guidance for passengers yourself.

A hotel handoff is often calmer. The Fort Lauderdale exotic car rental page lists the Broward areas the team reviews. A return at your hotel the evening before boarding, followed by a taxi or the cruise line's transfer, keeps the rental clear of port timing.

Which listed vehicle suits cruise luggage?

Count everyone, including the driver, and count the bags you will carry on the same trip. A two-seat supercar cannot carry a family's cruise suitcases.

The Cadillac Escalade ESV is listed with seven seats at $449 per 24-hour day. Monarc VIP places a refundable card hold of $500 on the Cadillac Escalade ESV - at least the daily rate rounded up to the nearest $500 - confirmed in writing before pickup. Seven listed seats include the driver, so tell the team how many bags you have rather than assuming a cargo figure.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is listed with five seats at $1,395 per day. Monarc VIP places a refundable card hold of $1,500 on the Rolls-Royce Cullinan - at least the daily rate rounded up to the nearest $500 - confirmed in writing before pickup. If two of you sail light and want a sports car, the Corvette C8 is listed with two seats at $395 per day. Monarc VIP places a refundable card hold of $500 on the Corvette C8 - at least the daily rate rounded up to the nearest $500 - confirmed in writing before pickup. Plan its luggage separately before you book it.

Fleet tip: Choose the car for the hour after you leave the ship, when everyone and every bag has to fit at once.

What does delivery near the port cost?

Pickup or delivery is $100 each way on 1-2 day rentals when selected, and free on rentals of 3 days or longer. Broward pickups and deliveries follow the same rule as Miami-Dade, and the selected handoffs are written into your quote.

That rule applies to each rental separately. A two-day rental before the cruise and a two-day rental after it are two 1-2 day rentals, so each selected pickup and return carries the $100 fee. A three-day rental on either side does not. Ask the team to show the handoff charges for both bookings side by side.

Day rates are not all-in; the refundable hold and any selected handoff fee come on top.

How many miles will a cruise stay use?

100 miles per day are included; additional miles are $5 per mile on the Escalade ESV and Corvette C8 and $7 per mile on the Cullinan. Unused daily miles roll over from day to day within the same rental, but they do not carry from a pre-cruise rental to a post-cruise one.

Which rental terms should you settle before sailing?

Renters must be at least 21 with a valid driver's license. The rental FAQ says international visitors need an International Driving Permit with their home license, or a license printed in the Latin alphabet, and that insurance or an approved protection option is reviewed before release.

A $500 booking payment reserves the date and is applied to your rental total; the balance is due at pickup. It is refundable only if you cancel at least 7 days before pickup.

The rental FAQ also says to return the vehicle at the same fuel level and that tolls are the renter's responsibility.

FAQ

Can I keep the rental car parked at Port Everglades during my cruise?

Rental days continue while the car is parked, and port parking is charged separately by the port. Ask the team to compare that with a rental that ends before boarding and a separate one after the cruise.

Is delivery to a Fort Lauderdale cruise hotel priced like Miami?

Yes. Pickup or delivery is $100 each way on 1-2 day rentals when selected, and free on rentals of 3 days or longer, in Broward as in Miami-Dade. Each rental is assessed on its own length.

Can the car meet me at the cruise terminal?

Not by default. The port controls vehicle access, so ask the team which approved meeting point works for your terminal and arrival time before booking.
