FBO Delivery at OPF
Opa-locka Executive sits about 25 minutes north of our Brickell base, and its two main FBOs handle most of the jet traffic. Orion Jet Center anchors the east side of the field and is a frequent delivery point for us, particularly for clients heading to Bal Harbour, Sunny Isles, or the Miami Beach hotels. Fontainebleau Aviation runs the flagship facility on the west side, and its arrivals canopy and valet lane make for one of the easiest handoffs anywhere in South Florida.
Where the car meets you depends on the FBO. When the facility approves ramp access for our delivery driver, the car is staged planeside — you deplane, the concierge walks you through the vehicle next to the aircraft, and you drive off the ramp. When ramp access is not granted for that arrival, the handoff moves to the FBO valet or front entrance, usually a two-minute walk from the aircraft with your luggage carted by FBO staff. Either way, you are never hunting for a rental counter.
The concierge confirms which handoff applies before you take off, so the flight crew and FBO customer service both know the plan. If your broker or assistant is arranging the trip, they can coordinate the whole thing by text without you touching a phone.

Concierge Confirms the Handoff
Before you take off, the concierge confirms the handoff point — planeside where the FBO approves ramp access, otherwise valet or front entrance — along with timing and delivery fee. Delivery is $100 each way, confirmed on the quote.
Land, Walk Through, Drive
A $500 refundable deposit is held and insurance is verified before the keys are released, so send coverage details ahead and the walkthrough at the FBO takes minutes. Drivers must be 21 or older with a valid license.
OPF Delivery FAQ
Ramp access at OPF is controlled by each FBO. When Orion Jet Center or Fontainebleau Aviation approves ramp access for the delivery driver, the car is positioned planeside so you step off the aircraft and into the driver's seat. When ramp access is not granted for that arrival, the car is staged at the FBO valet or front entrance and the concierge texts you its exact position. Either way, the handoff point is confirmed on your quote before you take off.
48 to 72 hours ahead covers most arrivals and gives the concierge time to confirm FBO access. During peak season (November through April) and event weeks like Art Basel and F1 Miami, book a week or more out. Same-day OPF delivery is sometimes possible when a car and driver are available, so call if your plans came together late.
Because you share the tail number and FBO with your quote, the concierge tracks the updated ETA and adjusts the delivery window. A slip of an hour or two is routine and usually needs nothing from you. If the departure moves by half a day or diverts to another airport, text or call the concierge and the handoff is re-confirmed around the new arrival.
